Have I ever taken a selfie? Yes.
Have I ever taken a selfie and posted it on social media? Yes.
Do I post them in hopes that people will like it/comment? Absolutely!
Like most people in the 21st century right now, I am addicted to social media, and have jumped on the selfie bandwagon.
So I was on Pinterest…. being Pinteresting, and came upon the photo above.
Are you freaking kidding me?!
- I didn’t know Christianity was banned in 53 countries
- I didn’t know they were the most persecuted people around the world
- Has residual effects of colonialism really skewed our perception of religious freedom that much, even to this day?
Don’t bother being nice, being nice is overrated. If you’re nice, you get walked all over. If you’re nice, you get taken advantage of.
Marriam-Webster defines “nice” as:
Nice (adjective): giving pleasure or joy; good and enjoyable; attractive or of good quality; kind, polite, and friendly
As this semester is coming to a close, more and more of my friends are posting Facebook statuses about finishing their final projects or exams of their undergraduate career.
I can only imagine how stressful it is right now constantly being asked about what you plan on doing next, or how job applications are going.
