I personally couldn’t stop watching the 1989 Aerobic video version.
So I had a taste of this sauce when I was visiting a friend down in Texas, and just had to get the recipe! This is a tomato based smokey pepper sauce – think tomato sauce on steroids. It has a strong smokey taste from the paprika with a subtle hint of cumin. This can be made in 30 minutes and goes great as a sauce for everything. Traditionally this is used in potatoes bravas, a traditional Spanish tapas dish, but realistically, this sauce is very versatile. I crave this ice cream whenever I’ve got a couple of extra frozen bananas in the freezer. It only needs 1 ingredient – frozen bananas. I’ve also added on a couple of “add-ins” to put a spin to it.

The recipe for butter masala is up, so here is a recipe to actually make butter chicken! The ratio I use is – 1 cup butter chicken sauce to 1 chicken breast. This is best served with rice and naan.
When I think of Indian comfort food, I think Butter Chicken. It’s aromatic, savoury and deliciously creamy. I found making a big batch of the sauce comes in handy, especially when you’re just craving a quick butter chicken dish. This can pretty much be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for 1-2 months without going bad.
I used 250mL mason jars to store them, this is equivalent to about a cup of sauce – perfect for an individual serving.
